I wake up 8 times a night to go to the bathroom; I have stoped social drinking (especially outisde my own house) since it is too embarrasing because I have to go to the bathroom so often. I am NOT diabetic. I think I may not be emptyng my bladder each time. Sometimes I find it difficult to go. Yes, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but would like to have some idea of what he will be telling me.I need some advice from older men or people in the medical field?
Prostitis, overactive bladder, or bladder infection. In either case he will do blood test, and more then likely put you on medication to see if you respond. Listen to his advice, and follow through. You will soon be back to your old self. Good Luck Will keep you in my Prayers!I need some advice from older men or people in the medical field?
see a doctor
say if it is once at night and you go right back to bed without over drinking any additional fluids, it is okay, just go to the bathroom be4 you sleep,
if it is more than one time and you don't drink anything after anything of each , you need to see a doctor
btw do you drink coffee , tea b4 you sleep? coz it makes your body produce more urine
Well, it could be you have a case of prostatitis. When the prostate gets enlarged it presses against the bladder and will stimulate the call to go. If you find yourself getting up to go, because you feel like you are going to explode, and then are either unable to go or go only a small bit, this may be the source of your problem. You can also develop an overactive bladder, and there is medication that can help with that. Probably the first exam the doctor will do is your least favorite- the infamous finger exam to check on your prostate. He'll be interested to know when this started, and if you are having any other sorts of troubles- like difficulty gettting or keeping an erection. You will probably be sent for a urinalysis to eliminate the possibility of a bladder infection, and possibly for a blood test or two. He's probably going to be more interested in your prostate than anything else.
You'll get a finger up your bum for sure.
Anthony, there are numerous possibilities here. Can you provide more information? How old are you? Did this condition gradually worsen over time, or was the onset rapid? Do you have any pain when emptying your bladder? I am glad you're going to the doctor tomorrow, as it could be something as simple as a urinary tract infection (UTI), but I suspect you may have enlargement of the prostate - which is very common - and very treatable. I wouldn't be overly concerned.
