My boyfriend and I just had this problem... we have 2 Kicker L7 15's with a 4400 watt amp and a Pioneer CD Player, after wasting around five hundred bucks on a new 0 gauge wiring kit, gettin the amp completely rebuilt and buying a new CD Player, we found out from our Audio shop in Mt Airy North Carolina that Pioneer CD Players have a problem with the internal fuse blowing where the RCA Cables plug into the back of the CD Player. If you have a Pioneer CD Player, simply shoot some solder from a soldering iron to the chrome part of the frame of the CD Player where the RCA Cables plug into the back... I'm not sure what its called... but we done it, didn't cost us a dime and it works perfectly. Hope this helps.Man i'm getting ready to rip out all of my knock!! unless someone can give me some advice!!?
What year make and model car do you have?
yes I would look at the alternator , and to be honest a power cap will do wonders. It sounds as if your amp is drawing too much power and or a power wire is next to the RCA wires. But get a power cap if that doesn't change it then change alternator. good luck.
Go down to radio shack buy a 2200 microfarad capacitor 35 volts or better put inline with your power source of the radio line..You can also from back of radio to chassis ground...The major problem is that some part of your car is not grounded...Could be anything, windshield wipers to altenator...The ground wire is not secure and it is causing the whine of the engine to come through and to make it worse when you add amp(s) the amount of power you are increasing is the many times greater.....bite the source in the butt...and you will solve the problem.....Had this problem with 1974 chev.,corvettes....
Check that the power wire is not running next to the fuse box under the dash, or other wires where it enters the vehicle. Also look to see if its near the wires along the sides of the vehicle. If its close to the fuel pump wires this will cause it also.
check your ground wire
